It snowed and hailed on Saturday, 5 Nov. It only lasted about 30 minutes, but it was enough to frost damage most of the corn, pumpkin, zucchini and cucumber plants! I’m hoping that they will all regrow.

Yesterday the Garden group worked in my garden. First, we removed the black plastic from under the path between the asparagus and strawberry beds. Then we weeded the west edge of the garden beds – there were many strong grass plants growing there. These weeds and the material from the eastern path went onto the old strawberry/asparagus bed path area which was then covered with the black plastic that used to be under the path.

Today I have laid the black plastic tiles on the eastern path. The garden is looking great!
