Yesterday, 23 Nov, I covered the strawberry bed to protect the berries from birds.  I had to use the main veg garden cover as rats shredded the strawberry cover in the winter of 2010.

It was a cool, rainy day yesterday.  Perfect for planting out seedlings. All areas where seedlings were planted out were fertilised.  All seedlings were planted out between rows of corn, I’m hoping that the corn will grow and shade these plants enough that they won’t bolt as soon in the heat of the summer.
