Beans and corn

It’s snowing on the hills again – yesterday and today and probably tomorrow according to the weather forecast.  As a result, I’m sitting by the fire – reading, podding the beans that I dried and removing dried corn kernels from the cobs.  This is what I ended up with:

a bowlful of beans to use in a chilli
40 of each for seed (scarlet runner, pean, Bob’s bean, soybean)

a jarful of corn for popping (mini black popping corn)

a jarful of corn for flour (black navajo)
