Butchering a hogget, fantastic lunch and lovely harvest

Our neighbour gave us a hogget on 16 Oct.  We spent the morning of 18 Oct butchering it.  Here it is cut up ready for bagging.

I’ve been harvesting a lot of asparagus lately and have just started on the broad beans.

This means that it’s time for one of my favourite spring lunches – soft boiled eggs from a friend and freshly picked asparagus!
