Seedlings and silverbeet

On 5 Nov I planted out 10 butternut seedlings.  These were grouped in 6 clumps and were planted in 2 sets of 3 clumps before covering with the mesh covers to protect them from late frosts.  I also planted out 26 super sweet corn seedlings that I bought as all of the seedlings I grew were killed by cold weather.  These were grouped in 12 clumps and planted out in a grid of 3 rows with 4/row.  Of these, 2 rows (8 plants) were covered with my mesh covers, the remaining 4 plants were covered with a sprinkle of peastraw in order to protect them from late frosts.

Paul took a photo of me standing beside my beautiful silver beet (swiss chard) plants.  They are beautiful trees!
