Tomatoes, comfrey and spring harvest

On 28 Nov I worked out in the tunnel houses.  It was time to weed, pick laterals off the tomato plants and to tie them up.  I am trying a new staking method for the tomatoes this year.  Because the tunnels are reasonably low, it is hard to get a stake in without puncturing the plastic.  So I have tied twine to the roof supports and also to the base of the plant.  They look lovely!

I cut back the rest of the comfrey on the artichoke hill.  It made quite a barrow load!  It’s now all spread on the garden as mulch.

I had a fantastic harvest on 28 Nov. Celery, parsley, basil, grapefruit, lettuce, rocket, snow peas, zucchini and strawberries.
