A couple of days ago I picked the latest round of zucchini. It had been just over a week since I last picked any. I discovered that I really shouldn’t leave it so long between pickings!
I found 21 “zucchini”. Of these 6 were XL size – definitely marrows, 8 were L and the rest a very nice size for a zucchini. I gave 3 large marrows to a friend and turned the remaining XL and L sized fruit into puree for the freezer – winter soup is sorted out now!! There is 16l of it in the freezer!
For the last two weeks I have also picking a beans of all 4 varieties. They are so crunchy and sweet eaten fresh from the vines.
When I was picking the marrows, I found 6 delicious strawberries.
