Garlic, asparagus, tomatoes, capsicum and chillis

24 June – planted 5 rows of 20 garlic cloves across the end of bed 1.  I lightly covered these with soil and peastraw
I  also cut back the asparagus ferns and peastrawed the bed.  I found enough asparagus for 2  dinners.
The garden beds are now completely finished for the winter.  I now get to enjoy the food coming out of the garden.

25 June – I harvested 1/4 bucket of yams and artichokes and several celery stalks.  The celery is delicious – tender, sweet and juicy.
I also pulled out all of the plants inside the tunnel houses (not the grass yet) – this meant that I ended up with a large bowl full of capsicums (mixture of ripe and green), another of tomatoes (almost ripe and quite green) and a bag of chillis for the freezer (mostly green).
