5 Feb was the day for planting seeds.

In the garden bed I sowed a patch of beetroot (chioggia) seeds.  These were covered to keep the birds off.  The carrot seeds are germinating.

In the glasshouse I sowed the following in 6 hole punnets:
Broccoli – de Cicco x 3, purple sprouting x 3
Cabbage – Copenhagen market x 3, Savoy chieftain x 3
Cauliflower – All year round x 3, Purple cape x 3
Chard – Ruby x 3, Rainbow x 3
Fennel – Florence x 12
Mizuna – Red coral x 6
Lettuce – Heritage winter mix x 6

10 Feb I sowed a patch of carrot seeds (Oxheart).  These were covered to keep the birds off.
