Yesterday, 6 April, Paul picked all of the gala apples. I sorted them into various grades on the table. Today, I moved the perfect apples out to the fridge in the shed (arranged on the racks so that they are not touching each other) and Paul sliced and dried 1/2 of the apples with a large blemish. He will do another batch of drying tomorrow and the remainder of the apples (those with a single tiny blemish that don’t end up being dried) will go in bins in the outside fridge.
