On 27 June I picked 8 broad bean pods. I keep thinking that there will be no more and then there always are – the weather is still quite mild for winter. I also picked celery – it’s been a good crop, a leek, lots of rhubarb and feijoas – a good year for feijoas also.
I asked our daughter what to do with the feijoas – there were so many of them. She said “Make ice cream!” So I did – pictures and recipe are below.
I also stewed a lot of rhubarb and have frozen that also. It’s so yummy with yogurt for breakfast….
