I harvested the Gala apples yesterday – about 200 of them. I sorted them into perfect, slight blemish and process/eat now.
The perfect grade (about 100 apples) went to the outside fridge – these are gently placed on the wire racks so that they are not touching each other. There they will last through next spring.
The process/eat now get peeled/cored/sliced and dried by Paul and eaten by all of us – either whole or chopped up with yogurt and honey for breakfast… The slight blemish go into the bin of the inside fridge for eating soon.
