I planted out 20 new strawberry plants this afternoon – 5 x Marguerite, 5 x Captain Cook and 10 x Early Tioga.  Once they were planted, I covered them with ferns from the asparagus plants.  I’m hoping that this will help them survive frost and being scratched out by birds.
