Last Friday I watered the garlic with horse manure liquid fertiliser.  I make this by 3/4 filling a large plastic rubbish bin with horse manure and topping it up with water.  When required, I take some of the liquid and dilute it 1:10 with water and pour it wherever I want it.  After fertilising the garlic, I refilled the two bins that had been emptied earlier in the year.

 

Spring is here – the asparagus is starting to push the pea straw and weeds are starting to grow in the beds and on the paths.
