I’ve had the pumpkins in the sunroom for a few months now. Today, was the day for moving them out. The four Hopi grey winter went into the larder for using over winter.
Update 12 June – I was chasing pukekos out of the paddock when I found a large Hopi grey winter pumpkin. The vine had grown through the fence before flowering and left the pumpkin marooned in the globe artichoke patch!
I scooped out the seeds from the four Austrian oil seed pumpkins. These will be roasted tomorrow, and then transferred to a jar for use as a healthy snack.
