Weeding, walnuts and fennel seeds

Yesterday, eldest son and I finished weeding all of the garden beds!!! Next up – when the weather improves – will be a fork-over of compacted areas (mainly bed 2), spreading sheep manure and then peastraw.

Bed 1 – Strawberries, potatoes, parsley, chives
Bed 2 (right) – salad greens, carrots, beetroot, parsnips, silverbeet, celery & cosmos;
Bed 3 (left) – cabbage, cauliflower, broccoli, leeks, broad beans, silver beet, spring onions, zucchini
Bed 4 (right) – asparagus, rhubarb, Jerusalem artichokes;
Bed 5 (left) – yams, potatoes

I’m using the sunroom floor as a space to dry walnuts (2 buckets full gathered with help from youngest son) and fennel seeds.
