Mid-winter vegetables

I picked all of the remaining tomatoes and chillis, parsley and several small heads of purple cauliflower. Dinner tonight was cauliflower cheese – using the purple cauliflower, parsley with tomato on the side.

The leeks are still very small, but absolutely delicious.The brussel sprouts are filling out. The brassicas (cauliflower, sprouting broccoli and cabbages) are being eaten by the birds – mainly sparrows.
