More seed sowing

I went to the hardware store yesterday when I was in town and bought some more seed raising mix. It’s 9°C today – that’s after 24°C on Sunday!! But I went out and planted seeds anyway…

I opened the only oil seed pumpkin that grew last season and removed its seeds. This meant that I was able to add a seed to those punnet holes that were only planted with a single seed last week. I also sowed a sprinkle of the following seeds in 6-hole punnets:
Capsicum – sweet bell mixed (old seed, may not germinate) x 12 holes
Chilli – Cayenne pepper (old seed, may not germinate) x 6 holes
Fennel – Florence (old seed, may not germinate) x 6 holes
Poppy – Fire circle (pink double flowers) x 6 holes
Poppy – Californian (orange flowers) x 12 holes
Poppy – Soldier (red flowers) x 12 holes
Sweet William (mixed colours) x 1 holes
Cornflower – Emperor William (blue flowers) x 12 holes
Cornflower – Ruby gem (maroon flowers) x 12 holes
Cosmos – Sunset (orange flower) x 6 holes
Zinnia – Persian carpet (mixed colours) x 12 holes

The glass house bench is now full of germinating seeds…
