IT’s been a few years since I used the northern tunnel house. I have many more tomato varieties – and plants – to plant out this year, so I decided that I would need both tunnel houses. It’s taken a bit of work, but the north one is now completely weeded (it was full of twitch) and both are now ready for a good layer of sheep manure.
First, I pulled up the path tiles and black plastic and weeded that area. Then I sipped out the grass from the surface of the beds, cut the grass growing up around the edges and finally, got stuck in and removed the twitch roots from the bed area.
The path – half of the path has been cleared of twitch roots Before any work has begun edges cut back, ready to remove roots from the bed area Twitch roots removed from the bed area Finished weeding and path tiles have been replaced
