Today, I removed the broad bean plants from Bed 3 and weeded the half of the asparagus/artichoke bed (Bed 4) along the north path. I left some broad bean seeds int eh garden – perhaps they will grow. I also saved some for planting later in the year.

Eldest son picked all of the remaining plums. I sorted them into those to be kept for eating (larger, less ripe) and those to be stewed (will not keep). I cut the stewing plums in half, removed their seeds and stewed them.

I also picked a few nectarines and cape gooseberries for immediate eating.
