On Sunday I noticed a large quantity of feijoas under one of the trees. Feijoas aren’t picked from the tree, but picked up from the ground under the tree – they fall when they are almost ripe.
Yesterday, I rinsed the tomato seeds I had saved (https://vegetablesfromparadise.guildford.nz/2021/04/13/tomato-seeds-and-apples/) and spread them out to dry.
Today I brought the 10 oil seed pumpkins inside, cut them in half and squeezed out all of the seeds. The pumpkin shells went to the compost and the seeds into the oven to roast (100°C for approximately 1 hour, then left in the oven until cooled). When wet, the seeds weighed 807g; once dried, 520g.
