Brussel sprouts, copper spray and fertiliser

This morning I sprayed the nectarines with copper spray – so hopefully the leaf curl won’t be as bad this year. I sprayed them in autumn and again about 3 weeks ago, today is the 3rd round.

While I was out there, I also sprinkled fertiliser on the orchard trees (YaraMila complex) citrus trees (citrus fertiliser) and rhododendrons/daphne/camellias (rhododendron fertiliser).

The final task for the day was to remove the Brussel sprout plants from the garden – stalks to the compost and sprouts to the kitchen. The sprouts are actually quite good this year – there are many large firm ones. It’s just taken them a while to get there.
