Early autumn harvest

I picked a large basket of grapes – I wanted to get them inside before the bees and wasps make holes in them all! I stripped 6 kg of grapes from the stalks and cooked them with 600ml of water. Once I get some sugar, I will make it into cordial that will go into the freezer.

Husband has been picking apples – mainly windfall – and drying them. They will be tasty over winter.

I also picked vegetables for our sons – rhubarb, zucchini, pak choy, silverbeet, parsley, tomatoes and peppers.
