Today I trimmed the asparagus plants that were covering the paths so that I could get to the strawberry patch and the peas. The next job was to pull out the pea plants as these have finished producing. My compost pile is now very tall, it will shrinkin size considerably over the next few weeks. The weather has been qute cold lately – about 15*C day and night with a cold wind and high cloud. Things are not growng as quickly as normal – beans, zucchini, pumpkins, tomatoes and corn – are all slow to develop this year.
