Winter crops, tidy up

Yesterday, 17 Feb, I sowed most of the seeds for our winter vegetable crops:

Cabbage – vertus savoy
Cabbage – Dalmatian
Broccoli – Raab spring rapini
Broccoli – De cicco
Cauliflower – purple cape
Kale – borecole
Kale – Pohara
(all in 1 seed raising tray, about 12 seeds of each)

Spinach – winter giant (approx. 20 seeds)
Chard – rainbow (approx. 12 seeds)
Lettuce – Odell’s
Lettuce – red salad bowl
Mesclun – simply red
Cress – Garden/Lebanese
(all in 1 seed raising tray, a sprinkle of each)

Peas – Henry’s salad (shellout pea) (12 seeds)
Celery – nutty (6 small sprinkles of seeds(
Broad bean – Super agua dulce (6 seeds)
Broad bean – dwarf early green (6 seeds)

Brussel sprouts – Long Island improved (6 seeds)
Brussel sprouts – Fillbasket (6 seeds)
Today, I removed the last of the radishes and pak choi plants that had gone to seed.  I REALLY need to get out and give the whole garden a good weeding!
