Apples and tomatoes

I picked the apples from the Gala tree today.  They are starting to fall on their own and the birds are starting to eat them.  I picked 20l of apples.  48 of them are absolutely perfect and go in the outside fridge, 10 have a very small blemish and will also go in the outside fridge – all for long term storage.  The remaining 43 apples have larger blemishes (but none of them are major) are in the inside fridge for immediate eating.  There have also been about 20 windfall apples.  That’s 121 apples from the gala tree!

I also picked more tomatoes from the Island Bay plants.  These are producing lovely large fruit.  I will definitely be saving seeds from one of these!
