On the 17th I planted garlic – 100 cloves of Takahue (12 heads from Koanga gardens) and 13 cloves of Purau (2 heads given to me by Maria, huge heads and cloves, not fantastic flavour). I planted own both sides of bed 3. Takahue went in 10 cloves/row, 5 rows per side; Purau was 1 row per side for Purau, 6/7 cloves per row.

I also used the last of the old peastraw and mulched all the beds. They are now all set for winter.

This afternoon, the 21st, Paul trimmed the grass on roadside along the fence toward the sea from the driveway and I planted 12 flaxes there.
