Today I planted 100 cloves of garlic – 50 of Takahue and 50 of large purple rocambole. Rocambole garlics are smaller and have a ring of cloves around a hard central stalk.

I also planted two clumps of Society garlic (Tulbaghia voilacea). This has purple flowers for several months. Both leaves and flowers are edible and don’t leave a strong garlic smell on your breath.
