Pruning and tunnel house tidying

It was a beautiful day today – warm (around 16°C), sunny and a warm wind (most unseasonal – it’s winter!).  The weather inspired me to head outside and work in the garden.  The first task was to clean up the tunnel house now that the tomatoes are finished.

The next job was to prune some of the fruit trees,  First, I pruned the 4 feijoa bushes to give them a more open canopy.  Next up were the stone fruit trees – 3 x nectarine, 1 x peach, 1 x peachcot,1 x peacherine.  I removed any dead wood and then branches that were growing in toward the centre of the trees.
